What made it especially interesting to me is that she is making her own pots from newspaper. Starting pots are a perennial problem for anyone growing from seed and this seems like a great plant straight in the ground solution.
I have heard that it is no longer the case but I know there are people who say that newspaper uses heavy metals in the coloured ink so I tend to stay away from coloured pages for garden purposes. I guess the easy way would be to give the paper a call and find out the dirt for myself.... maybe next week. Think I just might have to get my hands on some newspaper to try this and see how they hold up.
