hi belinda, I am interested to see you have started a PDC at the communtiy house. I would love to hear how it progresses, I would really love it if our community house offered this course, I might see if we can organise a tutor and see if there is enough interest for a class. I was wondering how the hours are organised, do you go once a week, or is it more intensive? Good luck with it anyway, and congratulations on your successful talk, it sounds like it was popular. Cheers Julie

Hi Jules,

Thanks for your congratulations I do appreciate the support.

I am extremely privileged to have access to this PDC in my area.

The community house involved has actually organised government funding to cover at least 75% of the cost so compared to your average PDC it is very affordable, as long as you don't need to take time off work to complete it.

Unlike your average PDC which runs for around 70-75 instructor hours this one is around 140 hours. It runs 1 full week day from April - September with a good collection of of site visits, both suburban homes and more regional locations, that are usually run on a day over the weekend.

Lets just say places in this one are generally quite sought after, we have participants from as far away as Mooney ponds, Brunswick and one very brave soul from Colac who is staying overnight in Melbourne the night before to make it.

Kind Regards
Belinda

If you want more specific information about the course don't hesitate to email me through the email address I have listed in my contact details.
