I'm back on board and it's just one week to go until we wrap up this second year of the Back to Basics Challenge. I haven't decided if I am going to continue this challenge online or just be more focused on my personal record keeping next year. If you have aButternutn opinion I will be more than happy to hear it.

Sowing
- Zucchini - Round

- Squash - Yellow Patty Pan

- Pumpkin - Waltham Butternut
Planting out
- Tomatoes galore (10 different types and 15 plants)
- 2 squash
- 6 zucchini
- 4 pumpkins (butternut, turks turban, chirmen)
- Artichokes are basically finished
- Lost the bank of Broad beans set aside for seed saving to the white Cockatoo's
- Loganberry just started to give ripe berries this week
- Strawberries have been running for a few weeks
- Borlotti Beans have just started climbing their frame
- Lemon we transplanted 2 years ago is thriving with all this rain
- Raspberries have just started to colour
- Seed started tomatoes are starting to get big enough to move from their plastic snail guards to their wire support frames
- Redesigned my weekly work plan
- Menu Plan
Working for the Future -
- processed 10 kg of cherries into the freezer for summer use
- froze chickpeas
- Made reusable shopping bags and ran a market stallcommitee
- A finished Freezer to fridge conversion to allow easier access to perishable food
- Entered recipes into an Electronic Recipe Manager for easier menu planning and shopping
- Attended TTS central committee meeting
- Ran a market stall with a group of girls
- Swapped at the November Transition Towns Food Swap
- Attended Community Harvest meeting
Learn a new Skill -
- how to pack 19 12L buckets of cherries into a hatchback securely enough to get to Brunswick :-)

You are so busy! I would love to know more about the 'building commuity' things you listed... but I daresay you don't have time!
Well done with transporting such a big load of cherries. It looks like you have been busy.
I like your back to basics format and have enjoyed being a part of it.
