Apologies in advance for the "mood lighting".
It seems the camera lens thinks it's sitting around 100% humidity in there right now.

I am hungry for information on how to use a greenhouse in our latitudes. This looks great. Those 'advanced' tomatoes in the wicking beds...how old are they? Do you manage any tomatoes over the winter or just to extend your season? Do you know any good web sites or books that relate to the southern hemisphere?
Hi Hazel,
Most of the advanced tomatoes pictured spontaneously germinated from vermicast sometime mid May. The Advanced seedlings were sown, without additional bottom heat, in August and took of well.
The really big tomato was a seedling that was planted in March and overwintered in the hot house. It started flowering about August, was setting fruit by first week of September and one of those early fruit is now starting to colour up.
No tomatoes over winter, pretty sure we would just be too overcast most winters for the hot house to make enough difference. I will be testing it's full season extension capacity this Autumn so I'll get a better idea of just how far I am likely to be able to extend.
Unfortunately I can't help you on the resources as I haven't really been able to find much information either.
Kind Regards
Belinda
